When we hide things that are not innately oppressive but often commodified, exploited, and warped into mass-produced, hungrily consumed, globalized cultural waste we make susception and conformity to oppressive norms much more likely. When we succumb to a pleasure secretly, we’re much less inclined to instill our politics, our sense of justice, and our moral standard into that realm. Hopefully this project will help me hold myself accountable and, you know, smash the state just by getting dressed.
